Dave Thompson joins CineSys team on the West Coast
Los Angeles, CA, June 20, 2023 – CineSys LLC is excited to announce that Senior Engineer Dave Thompson has joined their expanding engineering and services team based out of Los Angeles.
Dave ’s background is in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science. Taking that experience, he forged his own path in the Media and Entertainment industry, in both commercial audio and video. Dave has held senior positions with systems integration and media technology firms throughout his career, with extensive experience in both file based and real time workflows, often holding dual sales and engineering roles.
Most recently, Dave was the Western Regional Sales Manager for Lawo, where he endeavored to deploy SMPTE2110 solutions. He has held sales positions at RIEDEL, JB&A, GB Labs, Melrose Mac, and Digital Broadcast Inc. (DBi). As Director of Business Development at DBi, he rebuilt the entire sales team from the ground up during the Covid pandemic, while growing their annual revenue.
Prior to these roles, Dave’s focus was on commercial audio, supporting brands like EAW, Martin Audio, Genelec, and Monster Cable (Beats Headphones). With an extensive background in the M&E industry, he thoroughly understands customers’ pain points. Working with systems integrators and technology vendors, he has helped establish valuable relationships with major networks, broadcasting station groups, and production houses.
In his spare time, Dave is an accomplished radio and club DJ and was on the forefront of the technology developments behind the digital vinyl transition.
